What if I change my mind
Up until the point of coma inducement you can change your mind at any time, although you will forfeit the costs explained to you and set out in your contract.
Once you enter cryo-sleep™ you have no facility for making decisions, but as part of your contract you have the option to nominate a power of atterney that will
be allowed to request curtailment of cryo-sleep™ and recovery, if they should deem external factors appropriate for making this decision (eg, family crisis, world events, medical advancements, etc)
Can I listen to music/news/plays/technical reference material during cryo-sleep™
Yes. It would be great if you could listen to the entire works of shakespere or the complete technical reference library pertaining to a 10 year study of microbiology and retain that knowledge
during cryo-sleep™ but it is certainly an option avalable to you.
Why is the STEEL package no longer available
This was a great option for budget customers in the early years. However there were a number of issues.
The portable cryostats were completely self sustainable using geo-thermal energy together with an internal battery pack to maintain internal temperature.
This required burying the cryostat in suitable soil in order for the geo-thermal efficiency to be maintained and required the opening procedure to be initiated
no later than two years and one week after closure of the chamber.
Some customers' agents buried the cryostat in unsuitable soil or did not recover the canister in time resulting in the unfortunate demise of the occupant.
Although fully explained at the time of contract with specific instructions and soil compatibility testing kits issued, we still had circumstances where instructions were not followed.
We have decided not to continue this level of service due to the prospect of the required strict control conditions not being followed by external parties.
What happens to my house/bank account/wishes during cryo-sleep™
We include a full planning service as part of all our packages, should you wish to use it.
Some people decide to liquidate all of their assets and put the money into long term investment funds, others want to retain their property and organise long term tenancies or property management.
You can keep your existing bank accounts or you can look at transferring any capital to high interest or investment accounts that might suit long term inactivity
Most people assign a trusted person or persons with power of attorney, and others prepare a sort of living will, where your wishes in relation to specific external circumstances or situations are lodged with a firm of solicitors and an appropriate management company.
Think of planning for your cryo-sleep™ as being similar to planning for retirement.
What if I can't remember anything when I awake
Total and irreversible loss of memory is a possible side-effect of cryogenic sleep
Even short-term croyogenic sleepers have been known to have partial memory loss. Some regain all memories, some do not.
This side-effect is fully explained prior to any agreement between Hibern8 and customer for a cryogenic sleep contract and is a risk that you must accept.
All customers undergo a full memory download just prior to inducing cryo-sleep™ & these memories can be accessed online upon waking (online memory retention level is dependent on package)
Since 2013 all memory data is available as first person video - or interactive multi outcome experience
*Gold and Platinum customers have the option of a full memory upload on waking - although this is dependant on the appropriate technology being available at that time

What is the interactive multi-outcome experience mode inMEMORYBANK™?
Standard MEMORYBANK™ access gives the customer first person access to their memories. Interactive mode, allows the customer to experience different outcomes to actual past events using AI.
Interactive mode has helped some of our customers, who have retained memories post cryo-sleep™, to come to terms with traumatic memories from their past.
For example one customer with retained memories, had continued anxiety from the memory of a home invasion he experienced many years ago. Interactive memory mode allowed him to relive the event with a more acceptable outcome.
Can I access my MEMORYBANK™ at any time?
Yes. MEMORYBANK™ is an automated online system available 24/7/365.
However if you have not accessed your memory bank for more than one year you will need to undergo renewal of logic and psychometric tests to ensure that you have the mental ability to cope with memories that may be stressful or upsetting.
Won't I need medical attention after being prone in a box for x years
Customers are suspended in solution within the cryostat so bed sores are not an issue, and electrical impulses are generated in order to stimulate muscles, but
inevitably, the lack of movement and full brain function during cryo-sleep™ will require some level of re-habilition once awakened.
Medical attention relating to revival and verification of physical and cognitive function to at least the *level of that at inducement of cryo-sleep™ is included in the package
Medical issues that are not directly related to cryogenic suspension are not covered, but medical insurance for unforseen issues can be purchased.
Physical and mental re-habilitation cover is included in some packages and an added cost option in others. Or you can organise your own re-habilitation
*Existing progressive diseases (such as some brain cancers) that may continue to spread during cryo-sleep™ due to latent brain function are not covered
What about the medical conditions I had when I was put to sleep
The majority of medical conditions will be 'frozen' at the point at which you are induced to cryo-sleep™ and when you wake you will have exactly the same level of medical issue you had when you were induced, but with the benefit of any advancements in medical science that may have occurred during your sleep.
Some medical conditions (such as ?????) may be completely cured during cryogenic sleep.
Some existing medical conditions however (eg. some types of brain cancer) may continue to spread during cryo-sleep™ due to latent brain activity - and this will be fully explained prior to any agreements or contracts progressing.
What if something goes wrong
All package levels include 24/7/365 monitoring of temperature levels and brain activity. In the unlikely event that something goes wrong then trained operational and medical teams
are available to react imediately, and in the extremely unlikely event of a global crisis affecting cryo-sleep™ stability then we even have mechanisms in place to cope with this (see next item)
All packages also include £500,000 life cover for loss of life during cryo-sleep™.
Controlled tests limited to two years cryo-sleep™ have given *93% success rates with **full recovery at the time of waking
* 30 volunteers ranging from perfectly healthy to those with complicated medical conditions were cryogenically frozen.
Two of those patients did not survive. One was perfectly healthy but died due to complications during coma inducement. The other
had pre-existing Craniopharyngioma (brain cancer) which spread during cryo-sleep™ resulting in death at inducement plus 19 months.
**There is a 40% chance of memory loss ranging from temporary partial memory loss to total and permanent memory loss
What happens in the event of a nuclear war or other catastrophic event
In the event of a global crisis or extinction level event, all cryo customers will remain frozen and viable as long as power remains available.
Multi-redundancy is built in to power feeds utilising nuclear, solar, geo-thermal, water and wind and power facilities and all cryo chambers have an individual internal power backup capable of providing ten days of power.
Assuming some solar, air geo-thermal, water energy is still available then cryo sleep will continue until the end of the sleep cycle.
If no power is available for ten days then bronze, silver and gold customers will be automatically awakened at the point of power interuption
All customers will have printed instructions available inside their cryo container for self assessment and re-habilitation techniques on waking in the event that recovery teams are no longer available
What happens if Hibern8 goes bust
All power facilities, datacentres and cryogenic facilities are wholly owned by Hibern8 and underwritten by central government in every country that we operate
In the event of a complete global financial breakdown, which results in total loss of power or monitoring then bronze, silver and gold customers will be automatically awakened at the point of power interuption
All customers will have printed instructions available inside their cryo container for self assessment and re-habilitation techniques on waking in the event that recovery teams are no longer available
Platinum customers' cryo chambers have individual local backup generators capable of providing a further 12 months worth of power and these will be automatically started in the event of total loss of external power.
Platinum custmers also have access to a fully interactive holgraphic medic when woken
